Lutherans Deepen their relationship with God

with Life Long Learning as a Disciple

Home

We believe and teach that God acts first to love us

in Jesus Christ and we respond with a life

of love and service to our neighbor

We start our Life Long Learning as a Disciple as young people.

We offer a Rotational Style to our Sunday School where our young people move between our Game Room (left), our Craft Area (center), our Story Telling Room (right), and our Video Room as they study their Bible stories. Plans are to add a Drumming experience and a Guided Prayer experience.

Our Sunday School Rotations start on Sunday, September 19 at 9:30 a.m.

Our Goal is to assist our young people

Continuing in the month of May we will offer the members and friends of Emmanuel Lutheran of New Springfield, St. John Lutheran of Petersburg, and Zion Lutheran of New Middletown, our first cluster group  that will use the book "New Life: Lutheran Catechism for Christ-like Discipleship". The goal of this cluster will be to assist them in becoming a disciple of Jesus. As part of this cluster experience we will assist the participants in traditional Christ-like discipleship practices and we will focus on Meeting God (Up), Making Friends (In), Extending Friendship (Out), and Belonging to a Wider Christian Community (Of).

We see people growing in their role as a disciple

of God in Jesus their whole life.

to grow and to deepen

their relationship with God in Jesus:

To make this happen we offer:

Giving Bibles to our third and fourth graders every other year.

First Communion Classes for our Fifth Graders each Lenten Season introducing them to Jesus' presence in, with and under bread and wine.

Confirmation Classes for our Seventh and Eighth Graders so they may more fully deepen their relationship with God in Jesus by studying the Scriptures one year and Luther's Small Catechism with its six chief parts the next.
