We support Springfield Township Community Council of Churches
Springfield Township Community Council of Churches (STCCC) is made up of the local churches who cooperate together on issues facing our community of Springfield Township and New Middletown. Jointly we work together to strengthen the lives of the people of our area as well as make a joint witness to what God has done in Jesus as we live into the reign of God.
For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink… Matthew 25.35
We offer a community meal on the fourth Tuesday of every month. Our goal is to provide companionship, fellowship, and both physical and spiritual nutrition. We hope to strengthen the bonds of our community. There is no charge for this meal; just come. Join us!
We offer a fall and spring clothing giveaway. Typically, in September and May. Check our newsletter on the website for exact dates and times.
All clothing is clean, gently worn and sorted by size. Clothing is available for personal use for families of our community. All are welcome!
Herd of goats $300
Limited space to graze? Dry land? This is the goat’s time to shine. Goats can go
where other animals can’t, surviving in some of the world’s most challenging terrain and unreliable climates. Fresh milk from a goat provides daily nutrition for children and their families. What’s more, goats are incredibly quick to reproduce, and they provide an opportunity for families to pass the gift on to others. Donate to ELCA Good Gifts!
UPDATE ON GOOD GIFTS:
We earned and sent our “Cow” to ELCA Good Gifts project! With the excess dollars collected we also have been able to send a Vegetable Garden and Honeybees! The gift of a shared plot of land, drought-resistant seeds, and honeybees means there will be plenty of tomatoes, potatoes, beans and other veggies to go around. Extra produce and honey can be sold for income and reinvested to help a community expand their garden. Congratulations on your generous gifts!
